[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-color: #343434; padding:20px; border-top: 10px #af9390 solid; border-bottom: 10px #af9390 solid;] repair your broken wings ( WORDS ) 540 ( TAGGED ) JASPER ( STATUS ) COMPLETE that morning in fira was anything but picturesque to most of its residents and college students. mallory, however, would find it just perfect to put on a piece of paper. in fact, she had all intentions of going down to one of the beaches today. most normal people would have given up the idea of going to a beach when it was raining, but not mallory. when she woke to the sound of the rain tinkling down on her small dorm room window, it was not with a groan but with a smile. it meant two very good things for her: a less crowded beach, and a far more interesting piece of art. she could appreciate the clouds' shapes and shades during these days when others could not. it was understandable that most of the students at uot did not understood what she saw in the beauty of painting the beach on a rainy day; there were not that many art majors or even people appreciative of art attending uot. the people of fira were a different story entirely, which is why mallory adored them so much. after a very satisfying stretch and a groan, mallory was on her feet and ready to start the day. she hopped in the shower and began massaging shampoo and conditioner into her thick hair. her morning routine usually consisted of a bit of yoga before she went out, but she decided she would enjoy doing this on the beach, rain or not. unlike most normal people, mallory did not mind getting a little wet. she pulled on a pair of grey leggings, grabbed a sketch pad and a pack of freshly sharpened pencils, and was out the door before most people were even awake. she was happy enough walking to the beach; in many ways, fira was very similar to new york city. it was easier to walk then it was to drive because of the closely built buildings, the narrow streets, and the massive groups of people. as she walked, mallory considered which beach would be the best to visit. they would all probably be completely empty this morning, due to the early weather and less than desirable weather, so they were all open to her. she settled on cape columbo beach, mainly due to the rock formations surrounding it. once she had arrived at the beach, it was very obvious she was the only one there. it was a little bit eerie and at the same time, completely amazing to her. she pulled the giant towel she had brought with her out from under her arm and spread it open onto the damp sand. the towel could easily double as a blanket, it was that large. when she had set down her pencils and sketch pad, she slid out of her flip-flops and began her yoga routine. honestly, it was quite picturesque, something you'd expect to see on the cover of a magazine. she stretched her arms upward as she inhaled deeply, focusing on keeping her movements and breathing in tune with each other. she was so deeply focused and out of sync with the world at that moment, that the figure approaching would take her completely by surprise when she came to. woo this is done! |
