PERSONALITY You know that boy you've heard all the rumors about, and always see, but never actually talk to him? That's Parker, only he doesn't even know people are talking about him. Keeping him in the dark is probably the best thing to do for the poor kid. Parker is that loner nobody talks to because he just seems so unreachable to just about the whole student body. It's as if none of the talk can pull him out from behind the wall that blocks him from the rest of the world. This wall consists of his deafness, the thing he uses to separate him from the rest of the population.
Parker never really talks, but when he does it's with overly perfect diction, nobody would ever know his secret. He constantly is paranoid over if someone is expecting him, but tries to be calm and cool. Parker is not completely deaf, but is almost there. His body language never really spells out what he's trying to say, but sometimes his expressions can. Most of the time Parker is dead silent, and works on his own. Often you can find him with a notebook in his hand, and scribbling all over the page. Most people find him strange, drawing conclusions he's just a freak, the kid who hangs out with the bad group.
His anger can sometimes get the better of him, but never yells or hollers, at least anymore. Parker can read lips like a pro, and it's all he can do until his parents can afford to fix his hearing with a hearing aid. Most people assume he's mentally unstable and because he doesn't respond to anything. Parker doesn't try in anything much less his grades, which may scare you away. One strength of him is that he doesn't lie, he may avoid the subject but can be completely honest, without feeling bad. When Parker lies it feeds his demons, which may come out and hurt someone.
When others try to make him talk he gets quite angered and snaps at you, but in a polite tone so it leaves you wondering. He can be a lot of things, mostly ranging from keeping to himself and being a bit exciting. Most girls that try and date him get the middle finger, deciding that he most attractive trait is how "bad" he is, but that's not it. He tries to stay in the background, but that never works.
Parker's best talent is photography, and often takes loads and loads of pictures. His motto is "Go fuck yourself...Or not." Parker believes in acting on your own, and not blaming others for his actions. He's blunt to the point of being on the edge of rude, but it's his favorite sort of trait. He likes laughing, but doesn't do it too often, finding joy in humorous things on his own. Parker hates talking so most of the time he'll cut corners to avoid letting others onto what's wrong with him.
Mellow is a good adjective to describe his behavior, but yet his stare is close to a predator, checking to see if you're worthy. He may come off as a bit arrogant, but it's just the way he sees the world. At times this boy can be stubborn and selfish. He wishes for a normal life, but he's not going to get one, obviously. This can make him a bit bitter toward complainers and second chances are hard to come by. If he's nice it mostly means he's either interested or wants something from you.

HISTORY Parker was born in Alabama, on line of the state, so luckily he missed the whole accent that laid in the heart of Alabama. His small town was no match for his tactics, and as Parker grew up he was no angel. Parker was born to a odd mother, who never let her anger touch her actions, which caused her to go nuts in the end.
When Parker was around two his sister Dianna was born, and the two bonded quickly. As kids they were quite close to each other, protecting and looking out for each other. As Parker aged to ten, their relationship soon changed as they became different people. Dianna was more immature and annoying, Parker was a trouble maker and had no boundaries to stop torturing his sister.
His shenanigans soon grew more dangerous, and by the same he was 13, his group of "friends" were cheering him on. Parker was quite the dare devil, not caring when he actually got in trouble. Parker was obsessed with music, his ear-buds always in his eyes. His temper always running hot. It got pretty bad, especially when he punched a guy in the face and this caused him to go to anger management, but that didn't stop him.
Parker lived on the thrill on being caught, it made everything more worthwhile. That was until Parker was 15, and decided it would be so cool to pull of something big. Parker and a dear friend of his went into the school, and tried to set it on fire, to send a message to anybody who would listen. By accident, the fire trapped Parker in, while his friend went to get help. After that Parker finds it a bit hazy to explain. An explosion happened, and when he woke up his hearing was completely gone.
After that, Parker mellowed out quite a bit. His fight left his body, but soon would come back in a different method. Parker learned sign language, but the school refused to let him back in. All the school around didn't want him back, his record was soiled. That was until his parents decided to follow Dianna's dream of becoming a dancer, while giving Parker a second chance. They soon moved to Greece, where a respectable school was. The months of his newly found life left him bored, so he picked up the camera and started a new hobby.
This was when he was introduced to the group, including Ronnie and Kayley. He soon melted into the group, mistaken for a kid who didn't give a damn, which was true but for different reasons. His gift for reading lips had come in handy and nobody suspected. At times he just seemed in his own world, which was more true then they understood. Being deaf made him feel so, different.
The group accepted him warmly, Ronnie and Parker bonded slightly, spending their time doing stupid stunts and throwing snowballs at each other when winter came around, things felt nice and stable. He followed his heart to the college he went, where his father and mother meant. He's not exactly looking for a girl, but to instead him where he belongs. The years went by oddly quickly, leaving him with a tight group of people he respects, but is still hiding his biggest flaw of all.
Parker refuses to let others know about his problem, especially since it could get fixed in a matter of months. All they need is the money and time, Parker has all the time in the world. Though his parents bought his way in, what he needs needs some serious money, and they're saving up bit by bit. Parker hopes to have his hearing returned by the time he gets out of college, but part of him doesn't believe so.
FAMILY
-Bobby, a 54 year old father with a knack for building things, relationship is so-so with Parker.
-Hailey, a 49 year old mother who loves to do math as a teacher, her relationship is often rocky with her soon.
-No siblings.
STYLE Parker has pale skin with dark hair and eyes, he doesn't look like a ghost, but instead like a druggie how's looking for a fix. He looks just about the opposite of friendly. Parker's wardrobe consists of mostly sweatshirts and simple tee-shirts, Parker doesn't much care for his outside appearance. If you look real close you can see the two rings on his fingers, one says "I can't hear you" While the other says "So, shut up." on the inside of the rings. Parker never shows anyone these rings. Parker's colors schemes may vary with what he's got on him at the moment.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
(Copied from one of my short stories, a zombie one, haha.)
"Alright, who's got the biggest bag? Is it you Alice? I swear to God -- No! Don't drop it!" Aiden cursed as Alice dropped the bag, her face an unattractive red. She made a move to pick it up, but Aiden stopped her.
"It's alright, you make a mess of everything. I'll do it," Aiden told her. Alice made a face at him, a bit insulted from the snide comment. Alex stepped in, his expression irritated.
"Hey, let off her!" He demanded. "Just because you didn't claim that Twix bar and Alice ate it doesn't mean you get to start fights." Unlike Alex, Aiden was a small mousy boy, but strong for his height. Normally, he was very mature, but he definitely wasn't acting like it at the moment.
On the other hand, Alex was a tall muscular 19-year-old who wasn't afraid to get into an argument with Aiden. The two were constantly at each other's throats, and Matt was always the one who was forced to break them apart. It was very odd that they were together in the same group of survivors, and at times Matt and Alice made bets on which of them would walk away from the group altogether.
"Oh, it's okay." Alice grabbed the bag from Aiden's shoulder. "He's just jealous because I'm taller than him." With that, Aiden grew red. He was always shy about his height, and especially hated it when people pointed it out.
"Burn!" Alex chuckled, and Alice threw the bag into the back of the car. She smiled smugly at Aiden. "She totally got you," continued Alex as he punched his shoulder playfully. Aiden frowned immensely.
"Are you two done?" Matt and his sister, Kayley, walked out, her following after closing the creaky door to their old refuge.
"Not quite." Alice gave them both a dirty look. "We still need to pack some food, get the rest of our stuff out of there, do one last sweep of the place, cover our tracks, and see if there's anything else to use or take with us." Alice's expression saddened slightly, as she out of all of them was taking the hit the hardest about leaving the run-down grocery store. Alice and her mother used to shop there often, and lived down the street from the building.
"Ah, Sullys … We'll miss you." All of them took a few steps back to get a good look at the ruined sign of the old grocery store. The dirt was close to overwhelming the lettering, and the sandpaper color of the store was now almost matching the run down sign. It was bad, compared to the store at its prime.
"Eh, it was rubbish then, and it's rubbish now," Matt shrugged, tossing his water bottle into the air. Alice punched his shoulder, making sure he didn't catch the water bottle.
"Watch it!" She warned him. "This place treated us well, don't go insulting it," she snapped, stepping up to her full height. "We're only leaving because there's no food left, and the protection isn't worth it, got it?" She asked, her eyes threatening. Matt stepped away slowly, turning his head so she couldn't see the bright smile on his face. Matt always thought it was funny when Alice overreacted about idiotic things, but she was right. The store had gotten them through tough times, and it did make even Matt sad to leave this place, but it was time.
