PERSONALITY Jack is a very hard person to get to know and an even tougher person to understand. She is hostile, judgmental, truthful, easily annoyed and not the most social person on the planet. She is extremely driven and has an over active imagination, so majority of the times that Jack is out somewhere or in class she is day dreaming. Jack is an idealist and generally tries to imagine a better tomorrow but knows that things like that rarely happen in today's society. But she sticks to her dreams and he morals, which are really the only thing she has going for her.
Jack is very smart but normally doesn't show it. The only time people get a hint of her intelligence is when she is actually talking or arguing with someone because her words are very well thought out, Jack always having quick reflexes and a dashing silver tongue when need be. Jack likes to make people uncomfortable, she has this strange sense of being that people are too comfortable in the lives their living. So she tried to make things as awkward as possible for them - either by bringing up something that could be personal or asking the questions that no one else dares to. Jack also likes to point out flaws in herself and other people - she feels that if you don't accept the person you are then you aren't living your life to the fullest. Jack is a philosophy major, always being one to over analyze the human condition and human behaviors.
Jack is also a pathological liar. She doesn't like being asked personal questions, and her major trust issues cause her to lie a lot about her family and where she came from. It's not that she can't stop lying, she just prefers not to. Last thing she needs is her life being spread around campus - at this point, however everyone has a different story from her about where she came from or what he deal is. She has told everyone a different story, and not one of them is correct.
Jack is also bisexual. It's not that she was raped or had some traumatic event happen to her when she was younger she just didn't want to limit herself on love. She just so happens to prefer girls however, so it takes a little extra work to get her to be with a man.It But with her trust and commitment issues her relationships normally don't last long. Not to mention she gets bored very easily, which makes long term relationships almost impossible for her.
LIKES Cats, tea, the smell of the ocean, strawberries, women, music, fall time, art, day dreaming, alcohol, nighttime walks.
DISLIKES The television, overly happy people, coffee, soda, laziness, large crowds, religion, the general human population, hate crimes, her mother.
FEARS Clowns, Dying Alone.
SECRETS Jack's father was an American Marine and was killed overseas, The only person Jack has ever fallen in love with was a girl.
HISTORY Jack was born and raised state side in the good old US of A with her mother and father. Jack's father being a marine they moved around a lot from base to base, depending on where he needed to be. He was deployed several times throughout Jack's childhood, she going 6 months at a time without seeing her father.
Jack was always very close to her father. Whenever he was home every night faithfully he would come and tell Jack a bedtime story, always made up from his crazy imagination. These stories are were Jack got a lot of her ideals and morals from based on the themes of the stories. Sometimes it would take an entire week just to get through one epic tale, sometimes it would only last a day. Though close with her father, Jack was never close to her mother. Jack was a tomboy growing up, always outside playing sports with the boys instead of dress up with the girls. Her mother hated it, and tried very hard to get her to be a normal girl and even tried forcing her into several beauty pageants, which Jack's father did not let fly. He always told her that Jack could be whoever she wanted to be an that she was perfect just the way she was.
Jack always knew growing up that she was attracted to both girls and boys. It wasn't until she got older she really started to explore these .. feeling, and it wasn't until 8th grade she realize she liked girls more. Living on an army base and being bisexual was tough, the 'don't ask don't tell' policy still in affect at the time and all the religious groups around didn't take to her life style very kindly. Her father was more than accepting of the way she was, but her mother not so much. Jack was that person who would make a straight girl want to experiment. She was very good at picking up girls - and guys, sometimes too - when she wanted to.
The last two years of Jack's high school career was an awful one. Her junior year Jack officially fell in love with another person, but she was a girl and their relationship was a secret from everyone. The girl was head cheerleader of her school at the time, and her parents were very religious. Well one day when Jack was over helping her 'study,' her parents walked in on the two doing their thing and freaked out. Jack was chased out of the house while their parents pulled her girlfriend from school and immediately sent her away to some camp to try and fix her. Jack waited almost 3 months for her lover to return, but when she did she wanted nothing to do with Jack. She told her that she was going to hell and attempting to drag her down. Jack was devastated.
Recovering from the break up Jack confided in her father who was preparing for his next trip overseas. Her mother was less then please, not liking that her daughter was known as 'the dyke' of the army base they lived on. They fought constantly, Jack's father having to comfort her before he left for his tour, and having to calm down her mother. When he left things took a turn for the worst. If Jack and her mother weren't at each others throats they were barely talking to each other, Jack taking every opportunity to go out with friends or to a party. While away, Jack's father wrote her more then Jack's mother, which made her pleased. Jack's senior year started about two months into her father's 6 month tour, Jack confiding in him about everything from school to left over feelings for the girl who broke her heart. Jack's dad did his complete tour and was getting ready to head home when his plane was shot down over the sea, there being no survivors. Jack found out two days later when two men came up to her doorstep and handed Jack his dog tags.
With her dead's death more devastating than anything Jack has experienced before she took a year off from school once she graduated. Her mother had a new guy living with them not four months after his death, which made it obvious to Jack that she was cheating on him for a while. Hatred for her mother growing, Jack stated to apply for colleges as far away as possible. She eventually settled on going to Greece, hoping the new culture and country will do her some good. Now a full time residence of Greece for the past three years Jack has no reason to talk to her mother, and hasn't since she left.
FAMILY Isaac Russo; deceased; Father. Lillian Russo; 45; Mother.
STYLE Jack isn't exactly a fashionista, but she does like to dress nice when she can. She's a fan of jeans, but mostly just wears whatever is comfortable for her. She generally doesn't dye her hair, but every once in a while she could be spotted sporting blond for a few months. She wears little make-up, but has been known to get herself all dolled up on occasion. She has been told she is pretty, but she doesn't buy into it that much. She really doesn't try that hard with her appearance, it just .. is what it is. The only thing that she is always wearing are her father's dog tags.

I'LL GO WITH THE IGNORANCE - EAT, SLEEP FUCK AND FLEE
( IN FOUR WORDS THAT'S ME )beep beep beep beep!
A loud, rather obnoxious alarm clock rang through Jack Mar's head, her bright red hair buried beneath black sheets as she tried her very best to ignore the fact that it was time for her to get out of bed. She groaned out of laziness, her hand coming out from under her blankets as her fist slammed down on the alarm clock, killing the god awful sound that was coming from it's speakers. Her hand dropped to the side of her bed, arm hanging over as she lay still for a few more minutes before sitting up. "I hate that fucking thing," she murmured to herself, her hair a mess and her clothes wrinkled. It was 8AM, Jack knowing it was time for her to get up and go for her morning run but dreaded every minute of it. Summertime was off season for hockey, not to mention school in general. It made Jack want to do nothing but go out and party, which she did the night before ( probably why she had such a hard time getting out of bed this morning ). But she knew that if she didn't at lest run every weekday morning she was going to get out of shape, and when tryouts came around again for the school's hockey team she would be a step behind everyone else.
Swinging one leg over the side of the bed followed by the other Jack got to her feet and went to her dresser drawers, pulling out a pair of boy's basketball shirts and a white tank top that read 'Lucford University Hockey' in blue print on it. Not the most fashionable clothes but Jack was never one for fashion anyways. Besides, she was going to be running not making a fashion statement. She got dressed quickly, putting on her socks before heading into the bathroom and brushing her teeth, pulling her hair back into a neat ponytail and catching her reflection in the mirror. She looked alright, she supposed. She was going to be in public but if they didn't like the way she looked then they can go to hell. Jack grinned to herself, remembering the rather attractive girl who normally runs around the same time as she and in the same area. Last time they ran into each other she managed to get her number (score!) but never actually called. She hoped today wouldn't be the day she ran into her, that would just make this morning suck even more.
Putting on her shoes Jack exited her dorm room, grabbing a bottle of water she had by the door she ran down the stairs to the first floor, passing by a few of her friends on the way out. She lived in a co-ed dorm, so all the athletes who were up doing something similar to her were leaving or just coming back to shower. Jack got a few high fives, a hello and even a slap on the ass - something she was use to with the football players - and started on her way to the park, her favorite running area. She jogged most of the way there, only picking up the pace when she actually reached the Park. She stopped when she felt the need, taking sips of her H2O as she saw fit. The more she jogged/ran the more she woke up, the warm summer air filling her lungs.
Jack's run lasted for about an hour, she finally calling it quits when her legs just didn't want to run anymore. She stopped near a bench, bending over so that her hands were resting on her knees. Sweaty and tired, Jack let out a yawn as she took a seat on the bench, enjoying the scenery around her. A few people continued to run their own routes, as well as some college students doing their walk of shame. She spotted one girl in particular who was wearing a Balston University shirt. She gave a disgusted look, her competitive nature getting the better of her. She thought for a moment, trying to think of what to say or do. Picking up a small rock Jack grinned. "Fuck Balston!" she called in her direction, throwing the rock and hitting her in the back of the head. The girl turned immediately, looking in Jack's direction. She scowled, started shouting at her as Jack just mocked her, moving her hands as if it was talking rather than her, making a stupid face as she did so. The Balston-ite, as Jack liked to call them, got fed up and continued walking. Jack laughed to herself. "That's right, keep walking!" she called after her, the girl paying no attention as she continued on her way.
What a successful morning.
