adelina francesca stoyanov
today's interview is with...adelina. but you can call me addie if you want. it's what everyone else calls me.
oh, alright. addie, then. this is going to sound silly, but maybe you could give us the basics? all for record-keeping, of course. gender, age, grade, all that nonsense.well, my full name is adelina francesca stoyanov, and i'm nineteen years old. i'm female (in case you couldn't already tell), and my favorite color is green. i'm bulgarian, and i was born in sofia, the capital of bulgaria. my mother and father are both from there, and they both speak bulgarian. by default, i speak it as well, but i can also speak greek, italian, french, and english. i'm currently a sophomore at the university of thera.
excellent, excellent. now, tell us a bit about your family, dear. maybe a little about your childhood?sure! my mother's name is galina stoyanov, though her maiden name was angelova before she married my father. and my father is andrei stoyanov, and he's a very well-known businessman in sofia. he owns a technology firm there, and a lot of other businesses in bulgaria use his technology. oh, and i have a big brother too. his name is damien, and he's about twenty-two. he stays in sofia most of the time, because he's aiming to become the next ceo of our dad's company. and me? i don't know what i'm going to do. basically, my life's kind of gone like this. i was born, second of two, i was raised to be a proper lady and do as i was told. pretty boring, really. there's nothing all that special about me. i was raised by a nice family with a lot of money, which is why i can afford the university of thera. i started out last year at the university of strathclyde in sofia, but in reality it was a little too close to home. so i transfered to uot, where i am now. i'm only hoping my sophomore year will be more eventful than my freshman one.
thanks! so, you mentioned that you don't want to be a part of your father's company? what would you rather be involved in?well, i said i didn't know what i wanted to do. overall, i'm really into photography. my mom's cousin is a photographer. she does weddings and stuff like that, and one summer a few years ago i got to stick around with her and it was really cool. but i don't think my dad would like it if his daughter wanted to be a lowly wedding photographer, but you can't help what you love. i mean, why isn't it worth it? seeing all the happy faces, especially when you can tell that the two people getting married are meant for each other. it's kind of nice, seeing that.
that's sweet. now, going completely off the record, tell us about yourself. give us some goodies. secrets, likes, dislikes.as long as it's off the record. bulgarian tabloids are not fun to deal with in this day and age.
likes
let's see. just a list, right? well, there's chocolate chip cookies, my mom's homemade banitsa (she usually makes it for holidays but sometimes if i ask very, very nicely), and stuffed cabbage too. but that's just food, isn't it? 'kay. there's also photography, like i mentioned, and i also like vodka. it's really easy to get your hands on it here, and my dad never has to know why i use my debit cards for, since i never make a receipt. i really like the cheesy stuff too, like dancing in the rain and singing in the shower. parties are pretty great too.
dislikes
ugh. for starters, there's horse radish. who eats that stuff anyway? and i really hate cold showers, phone conversations with my dad and brother, thunderstorms (all because i like rain doesn't mean i like storms - loud noises in general usually scare the bageezus out of me), and being alone for really long periods of time, like plane trips. gossip, i'm okay with, but only in moderation.
secrets
oh, so now we're getting into the really juicy stuff. well, as long as this won't get leaked, i won't have a problem telling you. you ready? i'm not a virgin. there. i said it. during my freshman year, there was this really hot professor's aid back at the university of strathclyde. we met up at this local club for people eighteen years and older, and we sort of took it pretty far, if you know what i mean. third floor of the hilton, room 314. i still have the room key. and yes, we have hiltons in bulgaria (;
well, thank you very much addie. this was a fun interview. anything else you'd like to say before we head our separate ways?Вижте ви последни, и не забравяйте, че това, което се случва, в София остава в София. for future reference, that means 'see you later, and remember that what happens in sofia stays in sofia.'
